EMERALD ISLE, N.C. (AP) — The U.S. Coast Guard mentioned a search is underway for a lacking kayaker alongside the North Carolina coast.
The maritime service mentioned in a information launch Saturday that the person was reported lacking within the space of Bogue Inlet, which is close to Emerald Isle.
The Coast Guard mentioned that Warren Liner, 73, was final seen on Bear Island in Hammocks Seaside State Park.
An Onslow County dispatcher had acquired a name Friday from the person’s spouse that he had not returned from a kayaking journey. His kayak was discovered on Bear Island Friday afternoon.
The Coast Guard has deployed a helicopter and three boats to to seek for the person. They’re being assisted by Hammocks Seaside State Park rangers in addition to officers from close by counties and municipalities.
