Qualcomm has announced its second edition of the Snapdragon Conquest Free Fire series 2021. The details about the esports tournament were released as a part of the press release on the 19th of August. The inaugural tournament had received a huge hype because of the grand prize pool and the open qualifier format, which had ended on March 2021. During the initial tournament, Qualcomm had announced that there will be multiple upcoming tournaments throughout the entirety of 2021. Here are the complete details about the upcoming Season 2 of the Snapdragon Conquest Free Fire Pro Series.
About Qualcomm Snapdragon Conquest Tournament 2021
Unlike the first edition, season 2 of the Snapdragon Conquest Free Fire Pro series will be an invite-only tournament. A total of 24 different teams from the various corners of India will receive the invitation. The tournament will be held in three different stages. All the participating teams will battle across three different stages of League Stage, Wild Card Stage, and Grand Finals.
Season 2 of the Snapdragon Conquest Free Fire Pro series is scheduled to take place from the 3rd of September 2021 till October 2021. The first edition of the tournament was a long five-monthly affair because of its open qualifier format. Although, the invite-only style has taken us right into the heart of the action without the gruelling qualifier phase.
A total of Rs. 30,00,000 (INR) has been announced as the grand prize money of the tournament. The prize pool, though being a hefty amount, is low compared to the inaugural edition of the tournament which did feature a prize pool of Rs.50,00,000. The reason is due to the closed format of the event, whereas the first edition was an open qualifier tournament. The podium-wise prize money has not been announced yet and will be updated once the official announcement comes through.
Where to watch
The entire tournament including the earlier group stages will be streamed on the official Qualcomm’s YouTube Channel. The tournament will be cast in English, Hindi, and other regional languages too.
