LISBON, Maine (AP) — An unintentional home fireplace in Lisbon killed a 57-year-old man over the weekend, police stated Monday.
The fireplace killed Michael Dagneau, who lived on the residence, the Maine Division of Public Security stated. The blaze occurred within the early morning hours of Saturday and drew responders from three fireplace departments, the division stated.
Firefighters discovered Dagneau’s physique after extinguishing the fireplace, officers stated. He was transported to a neighborhood funeral house to be recognized by the state medical expert’s workplace, the division stated.
